COOKIE POLICY
This disclosure aims to provide information regarding the operation of cookies and similar technologies installed or in any case present on digitalacademy.juventus.com (hereinafter "Site").
The Site is owned by Juventus Football Club SpA (Tax Code and VAT No. 00470470014) with registered office in Turin, at Via Druento 175 (hereinafter “Juventus”),
For any information or request regarding the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies used on this Site, the user can contact Juventus by sending an e-mail to the address privacy@juventus.com.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text strings that the websites visited by the user send to the user's electronic device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.), where they are stored and later sent back to the aforementioned websites when the same user visits the site again. Thanks to cookies, the site remembers the actions and preferences expressed by the user (such as, for example, login data, the selected language, the size of the characters and other settings) so that these do not have to be indicated again if the user should return to visit the site or browse across different pages.
There are various types of cookies.
In fact, cookies can be installed by the site visited by the user (first-party cookies) or by other sites (third-party cookies). This happens because the site visited by the user may contain elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on different servers from the one used by the visited site. Based on the purpose, cookies are divided into two major macro-categories: technical cookies and profiling cookies.
The “technical cookies” are only the ones used to send a notification via an electronic communication network or strictly to the extent required by the information company that provides a service expressly requested by the subscriber or the user. These, therefore, have no other purpose and are usually installed directly by the site visited by the user. In particular, these cookies may allow normal browsing and use of the site and browsing according to a series of selected criteria in order to improve the service provided. These cookies can be installed without the prior consent of the user. Technical cookies can then be associated with analytical cookies which are used directly by the site operator to collect aggregate information on the number of users and how they use the site. These cookies enable the site operator to understand how users interact with the site's content in order to optimise services.
Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are aimed at creating profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages that match the preferences expressed by the user in question while browsing. For the installation of this type of cookie, the user's prior consent is required.
Lastly, based on their duration, cookies are divided into persistent cookies, which remain stored on the user's device until their due date, unless they are removed by the user or session cookies, which disappear when the browser is closed and therefore have a limited duration.
WHICH COOKIES ARE PRESENT ON THE SITE
Targeted advertising cookies
These cookies may be included on our Site by our advertising partners. They can be used by these companies to build a profile of the user's interests so that they can show them relevant ads on other sites. They do not store personal information directly, but are based solely on the identification of the user's browser and internet device. If these cookies are not accepted, the user will receive less targeted advertising.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are necessary for the operation of the Site and cannot be deactivated in our systems. They are usually introduced only in response to actions performed by the user, such as a request for services, the setting of privacy preferences, accessing or filling in forms. It is possible to set the browser to block or trigger warnings about these cookies, but as a result some parts of the Site will not work. These cookies do not store personal information.
Functionality cookies
These cookies enable the Site to provide advanced features and customisations. They can be set by us or by the third-party provider whose services have been added to our pages. If you do not authorise these cookies, some or all of these services may not work properly.
Performance cookies
These cookies enable us to keep a record of visits and traffic sources so that we can measure and improve the performance of our Site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and to see how users move around and within the Site. All the information gathered by these cookies is in aggregate form and hence anonymous. If the user does not allow these cookies, we will not know when they have visited our Site.
Social media cookies
These cookies are set up by a series of social media services that we have added to our Site to allow the user to share our content with their friends and connections. They can monitor the user's browser on other sites and create a profile of their interests. This could have an impact on the content and messages displayed on other websites that the user visits. If you do not accept these cookies, you cannot use or display these sharing tools.
The detailed list of cookies on the Site, divided according to the categories identified above, can be found in the Manage Cookies section
MANAGEMENT OF PREFERENCES ON COOKIES AND NATURE OF THE CONFERRAL
When first accessing any page of the Site, there is a banner that contains a summarised disclosure concerning the cookies present on the Site. By clicking on the "Accept all cookies" button, the user agrees to the installation of all cookies on the Site; on the other hand, by closing the banner by selecting the “X” command located at the top right, the user continues to browse the Site without any cookies besides the technical ones. By clicking on the "Settings" button, the user can also express and save their preference for each individual type of cookie present on the Site.
These choices are stored and recorded by using a special “technical cookie”, which enables the user to access the Site directly - for subsequent visits - without having to once again express their consent to the use of these cookies.
In any case, the user can always change and manage the preferences it has expressed on cookies, block their installation or revoke the consent initially given, by clicking “Manage Cookies” at the bottom of each page of the Site and subsequently expanding the item “Settings”. By doing so, the user can check the activity or inactivity status for each type of cookie on the Site and manage their related consents.
